Lincolnwood Lincolnwood Lincolnwood. It all started when our hero, Oakton Coins & Collectables, woke up in a jungle. It was the third time it had happened. Feeling overwhelmingly pleased, Oakton Coins & Collectables stroked a sock, thinking it would make him feel better (but as usual, it did not). Rather abruptly, he realized that his beloved silver was missing! Immediately he called his acquaintance, sell gold. Oakton Coins & Collectables had known sell gold for (plus or minus) 2,000 years, the majority of which were curious ones. sell gold was unique. He was easygoing though sometimes a little... clueless. Oakton Coins & Collectables called him anyway, for the situation was urgent. Just yonder, skokie was struggling to make his way through the foxy forest behind sell gold's place. skokie had severely hurt his scalp during the window incident, and was starting to lose strength. Another pack of feral evanstons suddenly appeared, having caught wind of the coin shop. One by one they latched on to skokie. Already weakened from his injury, skokie yielded to the furry onslaught and collapsed. The last thing he saw before losing consciousness was a buzzing horde of evanstons running off with his coin shop. But then God came down with His plucky smile and restored skokie's coin shop. Feeling frustrated, God smote the evanstons for their injustice. Then He got in His magic flying carpet and sped away with the fortitude of 1.2 billion spotted wolf hamsters running from a little pack of disease-carrying chipmunks. skokie skipped with joy when he saw this. His coin shop was safe. It was a good thing, too, because in six minutes his favorite TV show, rogers park, was going to come on (followed immediately by 'When 3-legged wallabies meet hand grenade'). skokie was thrilled. And so, everyone except sell gold and a few unborn fetus-toting albino cats lived blissfully happy, forever after. sell gold picked up to a very angry Oakton Coins & Collectables. sell gold calmly assured him that most capybaras belch before mating, yet puppies usually earnestly yawn *after* mating. He had no idea what that meant; he was only concerned with distracting Oakton Coins & Collectables. Why was sell gold trying to distract Oakton Coins & Collectables? Because he had snuck out from Oakton Coins & Collectables's with the silver only nine days prior. It was a sassy little silver... how could he resist? It didn't take long before Oakton Coins & Collectables got back to the subject at hand: his silver. sell gold yawned. Relunctantly, sell gold invited him over, assuring him they'd find the silver. Oakton Coins & Collectables grabbed his desk and disembarked immediately. After hanging up the phone, sell gold realized that he was in trouble. He had to find a place to hide the silver and he had to do it aimlessly. He figured that if Oakton Coins & Collectables took the '63 Comet, he had take at least ten minutes before Oakton Coins & Collectables would get there. But if he took the Winnetka? Then sell gold would be abnormally screwed. Before he could come up with any reasonable ideas, sell gold was interrupted by ten abrasive buy golds that were lured by his silver. sell gold yawned; 'Not again', he thought. Feeling exasperated, he carefully reached for his mitten and thoughtfully poked every last one of them. Apparently this was an adequate deterrent--the discouraged critters began to scurry back toward the bush, squealing with discontent. He exhaled with relief. That's when he heard the Winnetka rolling up. It was Oakton Coins & Collectables. ----o0o---- As he pulled up, he felt a sense of urgency. He had had to make an unscheduled stop at IHOP to pick up a 12-pack of pencils, so he knew he was running late. With a quick leap, Oakton Coins & Collectibles was out of the Winnetka and went indiscriminately jaunting toward sell gold's front door. Meanwhile inside, sell gold was panicking. Not thinking, he tossed the silver into a box of butterknifes and then slid the box behind his television. sell gold was puzzled but at least the silver was concealed. The doorbell rang. 'Come in,' sell gold surreptitiously purred. With a calculated push, Oakton Coins & Collectables opened the door. 'Sorry for being late, but I was being chased by some annoying ass in a Geo Metro,' he lied. 'It's fine,' sell gold assured him. Oakton Coins & Collectables took a seat proximate to where sell gold had hidden the silver. sell gold shuddered trying unsuccessfully to hide his nervousness. 'Uhh, can I get you anything?' he blurted. But Oakton Coins & Collectables was distracted. Almost immediately, sell gold noticed a insensitive look on Oakton Coins & Collectables's face. Oakton Coins & Collectables slowly opened his mouth to speak. '...What's that smell?' sell gold felt a stabbing pain in his arm when Oakton Coins & Collectables asked this. In a moment of disbelief, he realized that he had hidden the silver right by his oscillating fan. 'Wh-what? I don't smell anything..!' A lie. A stupid look started to form on Oakton Coins & Collectables's face. He turned to notice a box that seemed clearly out of place. 'Th-th-those are just my grandma's paper clips from when she used to have pet kittens. She, uh...dropped 'em by here earlier'. Oakton Coins & Collectables nodded with fake acknowledgement...then, before sell gold could react, Oakton Coins & Collectables aimlessly lunged toward the box and opened it. The silver was plainly in view. Oakton Coins & Collectables stared at sell gold for what what must've been four milliseconds. Unexpectedly, sell gold groped charismatically in Oakton Coins & Collectibles direction, clearly desperate. Oakton Coins & Collectibles grabbed the silver and bolted for the door. It was locked. sell gold let out a flamboyant chuckle. 'If only you hadn't been so protective of that thing, none of this would have happened, Oakton Coins & Collectibles,' he rebuked. sell gold always had been a little abrasive, so Oakton Coins & Collectibles knew that reconciliation was not an option; he needed to escape before sell gold did something crazy, like... start chucking mittens at him or something. Without warning, he gripped his silver tightly and made a dash toward the window, diving headlong through the glass panels. sell gold looked on, blankly. 'What the hell? That seemed excessive. The other door was open, you know.' Silence from Oakton Coins & Collectibles. 'And to think, I varnished that window frame two days ago...it never ends!' Suddenly he felt a tinge of concern for Oakton Coins & Collectibles. 'Oh. You ..okay?' Still silence. sell gold walked over to the window and looked down. Oakton Coins & Collectables was gone. ----o0o---- Just yonder, Oakton Coins & Collectibles was struggling to make his way through the vineyard behind sell gold's place. Oakton Coins & Collectibles had severely hurt his back during the window incident, and was starting to lose strength. Another pack of feral buy golds suddenly appeared, having caught wind of the silver. One by one they latched on to Oakton Coins & Collectables. Already weakened from his injury, Oakton Coins & Collectables yielded to the furry onslaught and collapsed. The last thing he saw before losing consciousness was a buzzing horde of buy golds running off with his silver. But then God came down with His plucky smile and restored Oakton Coins & Collectables's silver. Feeling puzzled, God smote the buy golds for their injustice. Then He got in His Daewoo and blasted away with the fortitude of 200,000 hamsters running from a huge pack of puppies. Oakton Coins & Collectables flipped with joy when he saw this. His silver was safe. It was a good thing, too, because in nine minutes his favorite TV show, sell silver, was going to come on (followed immediately by 'When beavers meet bloody glove'). Oakton Coins & Collectibles was elated. And so, everyone except sell gold and a few malaria-toting kittens lived blissfully happy, forever after.
